Hardwood Frames and Coil Springs — 5 Year Limited Warranty

Applies to the wood frames and coil springs used in all sofas, sectionals, loveseats, chairs, and ottomans. Mountain Leather Works warrants the frame and coil springs to be free from material manufacturing defects for five years from the date of purchase.

Within one year of the date of purchase, Mountain Leather Works will pay reasonable labor rates to repair or replace defective frame components and will cover shipping to and from the authorized retailer or a designated repair center. After the first year, the warranty covers replacement parts only — the original purchaser is responsible for labor, packing, and all shipping and transportation costs.

This warranty does not apply to product that is misused; to damage resulting from negligence, exposure, rental or commercial use, or other unreasonable use; to damage or failure due to additional chemical treatment, improper cleaning, or when heavy soiling or abuse is evident. Recovering the frame voids all warranties because in the recovering process, some or all components may be changed. This warranty is not transferable.

Reclining Mechanisms and Motors — 2 Year Limited Warranty

Applies to reclining, motion, and sleeper furniture only. Mountain Leather Works warrants the reclining mechanisms and, where present, reclining motors and their power components to be free from material manufacturing defects for two years from the date of purchase, against mechanism and motor failure under normal use.

Within the first year, Mountain Leather Works pays reasonable labor and shipping as described above. During the second year, the warranty covers replacement parts only — the original purchaser is responsible for labor, packing, and shipping.

Cushion Cores — 1 Year Limited Warranty

Seat cushion cores will soften and conform to the user with normal use. This is normal wear and is not considered a defect or loss of resiliency. Within one year of the date of purchase, Mountain Leather Works will replace a cushion core that has material manufacturing defects, provided the original purchaser follows the claim procedure below. Mountain Leather Works pays reasonable labor and shipping on covered cushion-core claims made within this one-year period.

Top-Grain Leather — 1 Year Limited Warranty

Mountain Leather Works warrants the leather to be free from material defects, seam slippage, cracking, and dye transfer for one year from the date of purchase. Leather is a natural material. Variations in grain, shade, and texture are characteristics of genuine top-grain leather, not defects. Small marks, healed scars, and natural wrinkles are inherent to the hide. Mountain Leather Works pays reasonable labor and shipping on covered leather claims made within this one-year period.

Finishes and All Other Components — 1 Year Limited Warranty

Wood finishes, leg finishes, decorative hardware, fibers and filling materials, and all other components not listed above are covered for one year from the date of purchase against material manufacturing defects.

Materials Substitution

If identical materials are not available at the time of repair or replacement, Mountain Leather Works reserves the right to substitute materials of equal or better quality. Replacement leather may show slight variation in color or grain due to natural hide differences and dye lot variation.

In the Event of Defects

Report any defects promptly to the retailer where the furniture was purchased, with proof of purchase. If repair is covered under this warranty, the retailer will coordinate with Mountain Leather Works to make arrangements with you for the repair. Covered repairs will be completed within a reasonable amount of time.

If the product is more than one (1) year old, the original retail purchaser is responsible for all costs of materials and labor and for shipping costs incurred in making the repair, except that materials covered under a longer component warranty above (frames and coil springs, reclining mechanisms, and reclining motors) remain covered by Mountain Leather Works for the stated period. Labor and shipping after the first year are the responsibility of the original retail purchaser.
